Fuck

I love the life I live. I feel sorry for those who don’t feel the same about their lives. If u don’t, u need to change something about it. What helped me was just doing what I love. Eventually it became something I wanted to help others on. Now I live a life of fitness where I affect others on a daily basis. What better joy can u get from this life than to be a positive impact on someone else’s life. To see them achieve something thy never could have done before. Fitness is life. Life is happiness. Therefore fitness equals happiness. Makes sense to me. If it doesn’t to u, then u need to change ur view on your fitness. Lifestyles baby.

Meet Patrick Gonzalez. He’s in the 8th grade at the Woodlake Hills Middle School in San Antonio, TX. His favorite player on the San Antonio Spurs is Matt Bonner. So he awesomely decided to shave Bonner’s likeness into his head. This is a small boy expressing his love for his favorite NBA player. It’s something I’d support if I was the kid’s father. I’m also a little jealous I’m not in 8th grade so I could copy him.

But now the school, after telling the Gonzalez family Patrick could have the haircut, says he’ll have to shave it or he’ll get in-school suspension.* Patrick is planning to shave his head so he’ll avoid the suspension. He’s not happy about it. “I’m mad, I thought we had permission,” he said.

This is awful, and I hope the Spurs hear about this and send him some tickets or something. The school should be ashamed.

*For the non-delinquents, in school suspension was actually pretty kick ass where I went to high school. The woman who ran our program, Ms. P, was very cool with all the rabble rousers, and would often buy us lunch if we already spent our lunch money elsewhere. Ms. P would have been ashamed to have Patrick in suspension for such a harmless haircut.
